License Plate Light

Hi Regal Lovers,
One of my two bulbs that light the rear license plate has burned out. It appears that to access the bulb, you need to first remove the small plastic lens that protects it. I tried gently prying it off with a small screwdriver but it wouldn't budge. The lens has a small nub on the right side that probably has to be moved but I've had no success with that either. What is the proper way to remove that lens so that I can replace the bulb. Thanks.

Oops! I forgot to tell you that it's a 1997-1/2 Regal LS.
