Hi,

I own a 95 Accord. AC runs pretty good in summer, but now i just moved from the south to the north, and the heater just doesn't work all that well, even after the engine warms up. Is there anything i can do about it? I know changing the heater core is a very big job, how about the thermostat? Is it a solution? I also notice that the temp. control knob can't go all the way to the hot position. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks for all the help!

Here is something you can do to diagnos this. First can you see the heater hoses That come from the engine to the heater core? If you can the feel them (while engine is at norm opperating temp Both should be Hot, about as hot as the upper rad hose. Also Does the engine even get hot enough? if not you might need a Stat. If when you feel the Heater hoses and one is cool you should flush your heater core, if you do it be careful as to not break the core when removing the hoses.
