When considering acceleration, handling, and reaction timimg, is the 2nd gen. gsx awd better than the 2nd gen gst fwd?

yup, it is better. AWD provides you with the traction you need for the hole shot and it will also add the the traction factor while cornering. Although it does add weight, and that is something that a go fast guy just dosent want to have in a fast car:)

Well.. all your fast DSMs are AWD.... but if youre already rollin.. .AWDs get walked most of the time..and there was a lot of times that i got reeled in on the top end or fighting off a mustang at the end of a race cause the top end just wasnt there... Been my experience that most AWD guys end up breaking more stuff and having more tranny problems from the harsh launches...

If you make A LOT of power, you will break the parts that help you launch well. Until then, there is nothing negative about a GSX. Also, GSX's are geared to compensate for more drivetrain loss from AWD.

Trying to get a good launch, a GST owner will learn a lot about controlling traction, especially while making lots of power. There are plenty of people running good times with FWD, so don't worry too much about it.
