It dosent matter how much power you have.
To get the moste you would want to stiffen the car up. A little less body roll will help out iniciating the drift, but its not needed. You can drift a completly stock car.
If you lear how to drift the car stock then it will com much easier if you decide to upgrade suspension later.
Have fun, and if you think you cant drift the corner DON'T. I hate seeing accidents with great cars.
Good luck and have fun.

Well first I would see if you can tranfer some more power to the rear wheels. I heard you can change the power ratio to the front and back wheels a little (computer stuff) Then I would set your rear and maybe front wheels also to a positive chamber angle. That should really help. However the best thing you can do is practice. AWD drifting is not THAT hard... from what I hear. You just need to throw it into the drift a little harder.

well ... as u said AWD drifting is not THAT hard but u have to be careful . I used to drift in my 2004 (( only 125 hp )) impreza but in the last time when I was drfting in my GD9 4 weeks ago I lost my REAR BUMPER cuz by mistake I shifted to the 4th gear instead the 2ed gear (( what a fol am I )) , so the answer is yes ! u can drift with ur sti without any mod by useing double break before u enter the corner .
