hey, i have a 93 lx wagon w/ abs & it's way 2 cold 2 go look, but my car has front disk/rear drum right? is it dual or single caliper? & are there any tools i may need 2 get whatever i may need to get off, off? btw, i'm asking cause my brakes are squealing... o, & if any1 knows roughly how many miles is it cool 2 drive w/ decent squealing w/out doing more damage (just guesses would b helpful). also, any1 know how much it would prolly cost 2 get the parts (i'd b doing the replacing myself). thanks, jordan

Yes front disc - rear drum
Single piston calipers (1 per wheel - front only)
19mm socket lug nuts
12mm socket or wrench for caliper - only the lower caliper bolt needs to be removed, pivot caliper up to remove pads
Large channel locks or c-clamp to compress pistons
10mm(cant remember) for bleeder
Rears you can take care of with pliers & a flat head screwdriver - Hammer may be needed to remove stuck drum - pound around the drum
If the brakes are "squealing" that means usually 2 things - wear indicators are rubbing(grooving) rotors or wear indicator has broken off(metal to metal) both cases you should replace pads & resurface or replace rotors/drums. Replacing the pads only will cause a pulsation & premature wear.

Your Dads totally right i did mine and i rented a dent puller from AZ and a hub adapter "its on the place mat" and i tried to pull my hubs off. I ripped them apart and saw raw bearing so dont do wat i did if your car has about 150K on it then u prolly need to pull off the whole knuckle and have the hubs pressed off. While your there put new Hubs in there like 60 bux a piece and PIECE OF MIND

Just helped my local Honda shop with my brakes on my Accord. Had to replace the right side brakes because my caliper froze up. Prices for all this:
1 Caliper : $50.00
1 Black Hose running from caliper (I suggest replacing): I beleive it's somewhere around $20.00
1 Rotor: Between $20-30.00
Set of pads: Depends on what you want....
Extra Nuts and Blots you may need: $5-$10
Labor: Free if you do it yourself! :)
As far as the pressed rotor goes, have a shop do that, It's a pain and not worth your time. Make sure you buy all the parts and make the shop use what you bought. They rip you off on parts and labor. Good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions......--TG

If they replaced axles, boots & joints should be included w/ the axle.
7lb-ft for v/cover nuts - be very careful not to over tighten
Use silicone or Hondabond on the gasket - only 4 dabs @ cam cut outs in v/cover
Replace the spark plug tube seals & v/cover grommets
