98 eclipse gst 6 speed conversion!

Ive seen 6 speed conversions done on a lot of cars and i was wondering if anyone has heard of one done on a turbo eclipse. If so where can i pick one up.

You can pick one up from a GOOD tranny shop. They will eather build you one or seel you a prebuilt one. But you might have some problems with it.

Y do you want one. All it offeres is one extra gear. Not usualy extra speed. And all the do with a 6 spped is make shorter gears which may assist in acceleration(maby) but it will cost you so much more than doing what you got to its potential.

yea y would u change to 6 speed? 5 speed is coo enough but its ur car g/l :thumbsup:

its not that im looking for one right now, but in the future i might want to have it done and i was just wondering if it was possible. Just going for uniqueness nothing more. Thanx for you info though.

well anything can be had with enough money, it would be intresting to see one in action tho.

I dont think its a question of wether or not its legit, its a question of WTF for. Doesnt make the car perform better, doesnt make it look better... Maybe thats why no one has done it :screwy: Its one of those projects people like to talk about but no one ever does.

well with the price of gs these days, and dosnt look like its dropping no time soon, it may be good to have a 6th gear. so instead of doing 60mph at 3krpm you could get it to do like 2krpm r lower in 6th :) but yea that crap would cost way to much to even worry about.

Yeah, it would take 20 years to save enough in gas to pay for it :)
