I imagine you have a metric 200 in it. Its not a work horse, I blew mine in my 79 shortly after I transplanted the 260 with a 350 olds motor. If you want to find out, go to:

Have fun.

all BOP ( Buick, Olds, Ponitac ) trannys ( like 350's, 2004r, 400, ect. ) they are interchangeable for all 260, 307, 350, 403, 455 engines. I personally have a 200r4 behind a 350 and a 455. They will hold if they are properly built right. I have them because of the O/D in them. But you couldnt give my a 200c tranny. 350 trannys are very cheap to buy or build. The stall converters are cheap also. Hell, I have two 350 trannys that I would give to anyone for $50. I got some 350 Olds also if anyone needs them, email me at [email protected] if interested. Whether you use a 2004r, 350 or 400 tranny, as long as they are short-tails you shouldnt have any problems with crossmembers or driveshafts.
