Intake for Christmas!

I got an AEM CAI for Christmas this year. Did the install just a few minutes ago... It looks really cool. Only problem is my extremely dirty engine bay :( . I'll have to work on that tomorrow :) .

It's hard to believe your car is only 2 years old and that dirty. my car is 2 years older than yours and its cleaner than that.

I live on a mountain and my driveway is a quarter mile of dirt dust and rocks. I have to go up and down it at least two times a day. Lets not even talk about other road conditions I drive in daily... :rolleyes:

If you think youe engine bay is dirty, you should see mine(or ask paul lol) The guy who owned my car before lived out of the suburbs, in the rural area... When I took off my scrape guard, nuttin but rocks and ish came out. I dont know why people say "whoa thats dirty" 90% of enigne bays are oily and dirty....

cuz they spend hours upon hours looking up showcars online w/out even looking under the hoods of their family members' cars, which will be crazy gross for sure

yeah, I got my civ used and man the engine bay was so dirty I thought ALL the parts were grey! and hey look, black tubes, and look, a blue and red caps on the fluid containers :)
now my engine looks very clean, cuz I'm a neat freak :D

Do you drive around with your hood open at Truck and Tractor pulls. That is a really dirty engine bay.

I always believe in keeping the engine bay of whatever car I own as clean and pretty as the interior. But that's just me.

Do any of you guys know the "proper" way of cleaning the filter? I figure I may have to do it often so I need to know ;).
