They look great! I especially like the black one. Forgive my ignorance, but what kind of cars are they? Very good models, next time I would suggest taking some pictures outside so they will be a little brighter, its a shame to hide such nice models!

Wow! I second the black one, the interior looks really well-done!

Sweet Interior detailing on the Impala and that Catalina kit is among my favourite kits
They are both nice clean builds! Well done

Both are very clean builds, but I am digging the '65 Impala. Where did you get the wide whitewall tires?

Thanks guys!
Slippery got it...the black one is a "65 impala and the blue one is a '63 pontiac catalina.Sorry I didn't mention it before.
The tires are the ones that came with the kit.I cleaned them with thinner and painted them with flat white paint...took a long time to get them right.
I would have taken the pics outside except you wouldn't see them for the snow  . I guess I'll try different lighting next time.

Actually, it's a 1962 Pontiac, not '63. I know for two reasons. One; Pontiac went to vertically stacked headlights in 1963. Two; I've built the kit. It's AMT's excellent 1962 Pontiac 421SD kit, which has one of the best Pontiac V8's ever molded, complete with excellent carb detail, perfect Tri-Y headers, and molded plastic fuel lines.

Here's a picture of a 1963 Pontiac Catalina just to clarify.

By the way, you did an excellent job. The grille on that kit is one of the trickiest pieces to paint.

No I didn't have to do all of the chrome, the console, steering wheel and rear speaker were chrome to begin with. The tiny guage faces are decals, but everything else I had to paint.I just noticed that the pass. side visor is missing...must be around here somewhere.
I think I messed up the grill on the Cat...blackwash didn't workout. I tried stripping it down, but ended up taking off too much chrome.
I've got a project on the go right now.I'm attempting to make an old Mustang look like it's been sitting in a field for 30 years.I think it's harder to make something look old than it is to make it look new.I'm trying out a new process-painting the whole thing rusty, then a few coats of color. Then sanding it down to show the rust in the panels and hopefully end up with an oxidised paint finish.I'll post it when it's done.

I lost the box awhile back.Wasn't sure if it was a '62 or '63-You've got a good eye for cars!

They both look top-notch! But I'd also love to see them in better light (when available). I think it'd only serve to showcase your good work.
