street bad
track good
street bad
track good

repeat until it sinks in.

it's not that expensive to go to a track and compete. You're could kill yourself or someone else drag racing on the street...

Over here if you get caught for street racing you have a minimum of loss of liscence for 5 years, car is imponded and sold and a max of a ten year jail term and impounded car.
On the minimum you also get slapped with one hell of a hefty fine!

A friend of mine got caught doing that off of a traffic light with a 99 Chevy Camaro, he was in a 89 Subaru Legacy. He got caught doing 110 in a 45 and thats only because the police officer was nice enough to let him slide from 120. He was taken into custody and let out that night. He ended up wiht a $500 fine, forced to take a driving class which was $60 and had 4 points put onto his license.

Damn what state are you in My friend just got caught doing 110 in a 55 and his ticket was almost 700 becasue of the reckless driving and endangerment shit they put on it. he got it talked down to 230 with some trafic class. funny stuff

this doesn't have anything to do with what will happen to you, but it's pretty funny...

last summer two amish kids got arrested for racing their buggies, because when they came over a hill the one on the left plowed into a cop car coming the other way... the horse had to be shot, and they were both arrested and ticketed

lol.. that is funny except for the horse...

damn amish... my friend escaped from them when he was younger...

shit here in calli you get busted doing anything over 100.. 1. arested public endagerment 2. 30 days car impounded (manditory) 3.hefty fines and traffic school 4. you have to pay the tow yard for every day your car was in storage i.e.50-75 bucks a day to get your car out 5. 4 points added to your recourd and is is only your first offence calli blows

all he wrote on the ticket was racing on highway. it was an organized event. 20 cars were there ready to go. the raod was an empty construction road.

i've never got caught street racing, mostly because my stock base model cav w/2.2L, governed at 105mph is not capable of eliciting more than a hearty laugh at the tracks, but i still apparantly have a need for speed, i've gotten 4 tics in the past year, actually about 10 mo, and am now 3pts away from getting my liscense suspended...even after taking the driver improvement course...

Here in Maryland my friend got caught street racing his civic and his car got impounded, he got a $700 fine, and he got 10 points on his liscense which is automatic liscense suspension. Good Luck

Thank god I moved out of MD before I got my lisence.. Around town here in Jacksonville NC they arent too harsh about racing.. I mean 4 points is alot, but only like a $200 fine.. But also we live near the biggest miliraty base on the East Coast, and if you are caught racing on base then your rorally screwed.. No more car, no more liscence, escort to the base jail as well as an escort off of the base when you are bailed out, and fines fines fines fines...

1. If you choose to do this illegally be sure you're nowhere near public roads.
2. Radar detectors, radios, scanners, scramblers, etc. are helpful in preventing cop intervention. If this is a regular thing with your friends investing in these items will save money and jail time.
3. Sorry if the above has already been mentioned i just read the first page and figured Id throw in my 2 cents worth.

As far as fines and such are concerned...in GA, jailtime, tickets, classes, community service, the whole nine are automatic...

Keep it safe, and as legal as possible.

See the prosecutor when you go to court and try ot have it plead down to non moving violation. You'll not like the fine, but it beats the points issue and loss of license. Funny how when they allow you to pay more the points can dissappear. After all it is all about the benjamins with the courts. Good luck and let us all know how you make out.
