RS engine swap

I have a 96 eclipse rs and wanted to know if the 95-96 gst engine will fit in my car. I'am trying to way the odds of doing this or just turboing the rs engine with a afthermarket turbo. Please, if anyone has a fast rs please help me with my slow ass car and the best turdo systems out there that can help me get to the 270-300 hp range.

no it will not fit... my RST is the fastest FWD in my town, so i'd say its fast! i did my own turbo kit on it and i love it, personally i would never buy a kit for that much money! i have spent about $4500-5000 on my setup and i have it running 21psi, which when i dynoed it, it was 350hp now if you dont want to do internals you can spend about 1500 on a custom setup and run 8-10psi and be about 225hp, alteast thats where i was before i rebuilt the motor! search this forum for: RS to RST, GS to GST, turbo a GS or RS, you should come across some handy info that i have posted, but right now i am too lazy to type it up... also depending on how many miles you have on your car you might just wanna sell it and buy a gst or gsx, good lcuk, also there is a good write up on turboing the non turbo cars on www.vfaq.com
