If you plan on getting a ITR head and swapping it all out, might as well save some money and get a b16 head, port/polish that and dump some cams in there.

The only advantages a ITR head has over the b16 is a slight porting job and better cams.

Skunk2 makes some good valvetrain products as well as cams.

i thought the type r comes prted and polished...? maybe just the jdm comes ported and polished...so if i go with the jdm itr head wont it be better than the b16 ported and polished?

There are infinite stages of port & polish. A stock B18C5 head may flow better than a stock B16A1 head, but it definatly won't flow better than a skillfully reworked B16A1 head.

:werd: just find a b16a1 head and look for aftermarket camshafts.

just frustrated on what head to go with i finally got my bottom end of my b20 built...have arias 8.5-1 pistons thermal coated, eagle h beams, golden ealge sleeves "HD" bored over 20...finished with that mess. now moving on to the head of the motor...on what to do and going with a b16a head...now which will be the best parts for it being a daily driven turbo...whats the best cams to get to drive on daily?!?!

It seems like your building a nice car. Its a shame you have no clue what your doing.

The type r head has an hour of porting done, tapered valves, dual intake and exhaust valve springs, and more agressive cam. Well worth the extra $300 you pay for one in my opinion.

wut i plan to do with my b18 is to throw a gsr head on it.That head on a b18 has more torque than a type r.Its also alot cheaper,1500 compared to 400 bucks.U choose
