it's even possible to drift a FWD. although it's not really drifting in the conventional since. you basically do what you would in a AWD. Aproach the turn, Shift the weight of the car to the front (front brakes), swing the rear of the car out while losing traction in the rear tires (e-brake), keep the front tires straight through the whole turn, and use the gas to move you closer to the inside of the turn. You just have to have a lot of momentum coming into the turn, and it helps when the pavement's wet. (did it in my wife's focus... the first time was kinda an accident. lol)

awd drifting is impossible due to he fact that more than half of the big awd's have 4 wheel turning,i was once in possesion of a r33 gtr,until the day i thought i could drift it,it was put in to a tree.....rip,but as good as i am at drifting the only awd that could come close,are evo 3,4,5,6's,reason why they dont have4 wheel steering,and unlike most evo's dont have viscous couplers,which werent introduced until the late evo 7's,on the othe hand.....impreza's could pull it off,but,with most four banggin boxer's,thaey dont have shit for torque,even the rally cars have trouble,and always seem to blow the torque converter,btw,i curently live in japan,and i have yet to see one aluminum spoiler on there cars,i had to ask why,my freind kayichi said its because there only purpose is down force for ROAD COURSE'S,and any car on the streets with one,is highly looked down upon,but if you have any more questions,reply

I can name one 4x4 streetcar that have 4ws... Skylines (some models only)
you can drift ANY 4x4 car, but you need a lot of power, stock power will ote do for more than a short skid/slide i segond gear on most cars.
check out www.gatebil.no, theres an WRC Escort with 800bhp + thats drifts.
