My wife just called me at work, she went out to start the car and all she gets is a clicking sound. Lights, radio etc. OK until she turns the key, then just a clicking sound.

Should I pick up a battery on my way home?

Try giving it a boost. If it starts, check the charging system. Put a voltmeter across the battery terminals, and if the voltage is 14 volts, replace the battery. I gather from the year of the vehicle, the battery is probably the original one. Most batteries are good for 5 years.
Good luck.

If you continue to have problems with the battery, take it to your dealer and have them inspect your terminal wiring. I spent $300 replacing the battery and alternater ('98 LS) after the car died 3 times on me. I took it to the dealer and they had it fixed for $80.

Best of luck!
