Accelerator Pedal Assembly

My pedal has started to feel weird for some time but today i noticed that it was particularly loose and when i went to investogate the thing came off in my hand! the beetle isnt in the best of condition but it doesnt seem as if anything has snapped off and am not too sure how the pedal has come so loose as i cant see how it fits back in! The mechanism still works fine and the pedal will rest on the mechanism but it keeps sliding off it which is quite dangerous! Can anyone point me in the right direction to a diagram of the assembly so i can chekc there is nothing missing? Any info on how to put it back woul dbe much appreciated.

It should be hinged at the bottom with a pin.
