the dang thing has never worked well. it just trickles straight down. shouldn't it spray all across the windshield or something? does anybody have a fix for this?

Dealer told me that this situation is normal and that we should count ourselves lucky as some never worked at all even new,and that there is NO FIX.

i would have predicted that. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to be able to look at the thing while it works and discern that it's a design flaw. but, i will go thru the motions and go to my dealer to document the issue. then i will see what GM Customer Service says.
thanks for the input.

Good luck with customer service.......now that they have our money, they won't budge to help you.I had a bad casted mag wheel, really a defective part. The dealer wanted to have it welded,I said NO I WANT IT REPLACED,because it was a manifactured defect.I argued with the assistant manager, and wound up calling GM customer service. They vouched for the dealer, and said that the dealer knew what was the CHEAPEST REPAIR for my mag.(BTW it had less than 16000Km's as I use winter tires),I agreed to have it welded but ''NOT REPLACED BY SOME OLDER RECYCLED STRAIGHTENED SCRAPYARD MAG'',which was also mentionned by the ass.man.(hey that fits him good). They installed one of my winter tires as they were stored at the dealer(last time for this also),
sent my mag to the welding shop, had it massacered as the bad cast was almost half way around, called me up two days later and told me that I needed a NEW RIM...KINDA CYNICAL,as I had told them two days earlier that the rim was no good.(I have some experience with metals).
So now that the dealer has chosen the cheaper solution, it cost a mag,+/-800.00 plus the work done to massacre my original mag+/-200.00.Great way to save money.
We are just a pin prick in their sides, they take our money and forget about how loyal a satisfied customer can be.My wife and I are now looking to replace the silhouette with a dodge ram (can't wait ot try the Hemi),Chevy pick-up's are out of the question as they require $70.00 servicing of the disk brakes twice a year.and the reliability and service from GM are deceiving. That is what happens when you are sitting on the top of the hill, not rembering how you got there,or who put you there.
thanks for the input.
