I was thinking about installing a Mod Chip to increase the horses alittle..
I was wondering if this really works?? And if so, how is it on the gas mileage?? Also, with the new wonderful Ohio e-check,does the computer see it?? Thanks for the input Jett-n

From what I hear, mod chips tend to wear out engines a lot faster than norm. -Since it relegates engine pressure. They are usually only effective if you use 91 octane or higher..

What engine do you have in the jetta? On a forced induction engine such as a TDI or 1.8T you will see considerable gains from a chip. On a NA engine such as the 2.0, 2.8, or VR6, you won't see as much of a gain but, the chips are cheaper.
APR, GIAC, Upsolute, REVO, Neuspeed, and more all make chips for your ECU. Also check out direct port programming. You can find more specific info for your car at these manufacturers websites.
