How do you hotwire a 240?
No, I am not stealing one. My freind, kinda jokingly, said I couldn't steal it if I tried, so, he's going to sit there while I try to, the thing is, I'm not very familiar with the 240...REPEAT: NOT FOR THEFT..

Take off the steering column. Once you get behind or near the ignition look for two red wires. In older cars red was the standard color, if not, look for two matched pairs. When you find them, splice the 2 wires and then cross them. The car should start up. This is how my friend and I did it on his mustang when he lost the key.

Thanks alot. I didn't know it was as simple as any other car, I heard there was something different about the 240SX for some reason.

a way me and my friend hot wired his vr6 passat was to take a hanger straighten it out and touch it from the battery to the starter straight up... you just need to unplug the wire harness to the started and touch the 2 together BOOM the engine starts... haven't needed to try this on my 240 yet but it worked on a passat? lol
