I've sold some tshirts and stuff using cafe press and Ebay and I've done some custom work for people. I work as a caricature and airbrush artist so Im always selling my work but those things were more car specific. I believe Kartoonz has said that he used to do it as a business awhile back.

this depends on what level or type of artwork you wish to sell. if you do cartoon cars, then focus on that market and find ways to put the image on merchandising. if you draw realism, then focus on that market and target buyers who are enthusiasts to a specific make of car. there is always the 'i will draw your car' venue. but unless you sell prints of the work, you may be spinning your wheels. but you must start.

how did you do that? is the guy a regular on this forum? or did you visit a japanese forum? are there bi-lingual japanese car forums? that is a huge market for drifting. think of the GTR and Silvia art you can sell there. :smokin:

So ya want to make some green huh ... well this is how I started out...Get yourself a portfolio done and then start hitting garages or parts stores stuff that is car related , car clubs logos get the idea .. then get yourself an airbrush and practice your tail off and get good . It is a very good way to make some cash at say a car show or flea markets or yard sale at your home ( ive done them all ) its works. I still make a few bucks on the side doing t-shirts and murals . Find yourself a place to get your t-shirts and sweats cheap ... then charge 25 -50 dollars per shirt . heck start out doing pics of your friends or family members cars for say 5 to 10 bucks , buy a reasonable priced frame and sell them . I do designs for my clients and get anywhere from 200 to 450 per design . These kinds of jobs are VERY hard to find , I got lucky with mine . Hope this helps and good luck.:iceslolan

Mostly id pinstriping though, thats a great way to make money. BTW, If your wondering, im 16.
