I think I saw this car on the road in Cali...on the 110 in Southern Cali. Anyway, this tricked out RX-8 passed my stock RX-8. The one I saw was grey like the pic.

thats an ass ugly car. words cant even describe my hate for showcars and euro lights. now if you told me that car has over 400hp and could pull over 1g on a skidpad, then id be slightly impressed.

hmmm, wasnt really paying attention before. didnt realize that it was a mazdaspeed and not some guy's riced out piece of crap. i will then retract my statement about it performance wise, but i still think that its ass ugly. those euro tails and that horrific spoiler, ugghhh. take away those and its a pretty decent car.

While these pics aren't the most glamorous, there are others that show the recently displayed MAZDASPEED on a more glamorous note. What truly irks me is I cannot find any information on what the car is expected to be able to do athletically. One site I found claimed to have stats on it, but they were simply the standard RX-8 stats.

yes nice photos, but it sucks it aint coming over here until 2005. they just got it in japan.

The Mazdaspeed edition will be mainly apperance and maby a better flowing airbox. Other than that and maby a LSD and exhaust i dont see them changing the car much.

When is someone going to come out with some reverse EURO's for the RX8 so we can have som normal taillights on this thing????

yea...it kind of sucks the RX-8 has euro tails from the factory. Same as the IS300 in that regard.

Kinda??? I could understand if they were offered on a Honda but no. They did it on a Mazda.

Not to sound like an ass but to me it looks like the RX-8 is a choping room floor car.
By that i mean that the guys at mazda put out a sugestion box and asked everyone for ideas. Everyone gave there ideas and they used them all. Like if you look at the car it has Saturns rear doors, altezzas, gills, nice smooth flowing lines, sharp lines, ect. Dont get me wrong i like the way it looks (minus the tail lights) but when i first saw it it kinda scared me.

LOL...wow, I see the word kinda opened up a can, lol. Yea, I agree, I think nice red tails, with the white reverse area, AKA Mazda 6, would of looked good. Maybe someone will offer nice red aftermarket tails for it soon.

I hope so, a nice white RX8 with red tails. OOOO SOO NICE. Mazda should offer the altezzas an option not standard equipment. The road is being taken over by altezza tailed OEM vehicles. AHHHHHHH I hardly see Hondas with them anymore, guess they are all played out.

Yes, they are very played out. Very few people in the Honda camp like them anymore...it's mostly the "new blood", the "ricers", whatever you want to call it. For the most part, it's now a clean look. Nice clean taililights on Honda's is becoming more commen, thankfully. I still see some w/ Altezza's, but not nearly as many. It's funny, as the love for Altezza tails with Honda's dies down a bit and gets played out and clean red tails become more liked, the OEM's migrate towards the Altezzas. It's a bitter Irony.

Manufacturers are just to slow in development. They are trying to apeal to the young croud of 3 years ago. They need to do som reserch and see what people who can afford to buy a car like that want in the car.

Yea, manufactors too often try to appeal to what was "cool." Problem is, by the time they figure out they want to jump on the bandwagon and add this "cool" feature to the car, it's already been played out.

black rx-8 smoked taillights thats wat i'd do

Sorry to go off the tail lights customization topic but has anyone heard news of the Twin Turboed Japaneese Rx-8? I'm not sure if this is a rumor or not but more than one source has mentioned that a car like this exists. Granted it's not on an assembly line and costs $90k just to have it customized. Anyone else heard about this?

I think its nice but ide take the nismo 350z over it any day:-)

I personally think most Veilside kits are too wild looks, but that's just my tastes.

I agree with Spirit r., the euro lights are disgusting and you should get rid of them. then what you do is take off that disgusting looking spoiler and replace it with a much more fitting one, notice i did not say a GIGANTIC WING but a decent sized spoiler. I also don't agree with spirit r on the fact that the RX-8 IS a very sexy car, but the way that this guy has the car riced out just ruins the beauty of the car. someone should rip off the ugly spoiler and euro lights and ram them right up the owners butt

Umm, that's not "some guy who riced out his car." Like the car or hate the car, that car was a Mazdaspeed RX-8. If it looks too ricey for you, you have Mazdaspeed to thank for it.
