1st gen b16

I went to the local motorsports shop and did some asking... and think i will go with the 1st gen b16 swap for my crx...and the guy told me that if you get a 1st gen then all you need is the hasport mounting kit... since its a cable tranny.... is that correct? and of course i need the tranny and ecu... im gonna have someone else do the wiring? and also do the axles that come with teh b16 fit good with the crx?

You will need the mounts from Hasport - but it has nothing to do with the tranny, it has to do with the difference between the B and D series engines.

You also need the axles and brakes to ensure the splines all match. ECU is a must.

If your mechanic at the motorsports shop is saying you need the mounts because it's a cable tranny then take it somewhere else as he has no idea WHY you need the mounts and that doesn't speak well for his competance. Best bet is to take it to a shop that will do it all - drive in and drive out job.

you need shift linkage from hasport to. or can cut and weld your own.

well i called up another place that the guy reccomended and i was talking to them for a while..... he said for all the parts i need, and i mean all the parts down to the linkage and ecu and axles and belts and hoses that it will be 2700. Thats the price if i install it which i plan on doing all of it except the wiring, which they said if i get it running and drive it down there they will do the wiring and look over all my work for 100$, does this sound pretty good to you? 30 day warranty on the motor as well.....

this also includes all the mounts and everything needed....
