Importaion regulations

I know this has been hit on before but I need some info.
I'm moving to Japan (okinawa"but not military") at the end of Feb. I plan on buying a kouki 180sx most likely a 96 and building a Sil80. Does anybody have a list of regulations and mods I'll need to do to bring it back to the U.S. in a couple of years? Can I get away with changing the doors speedo and windshield with a 240 or is there loads more?? If it's in a thread somewhere just let me know.
