Ok ive seen the spyder gst runs about a 15.5 in the 1/4, im curious what it would take to notch about 2 seconds off of that time. Also is having the spyder a big disadvantage over the coupe gst/gsx? I really like the drop top but i want overal performance also. Im not gonna be racing i would jus like a car with a little bit of ass and can sweep a turn pretty good. I had a spyder gs with kyb's and eibach springs with engine strut bar and i was defintely happy with that, it was just slow as hell. So basically whats a nice suspension setup and what would it take to bring a spyder gst in the 13s range?

don't forget a spyder weighs as much as a GSX too. i've been told that with the mods i have i should be able to break into the 13's [with the right tires], and with a bigger turbo and fuel tuning on the way, well, we shall see. my car is already fast and i have beat almost every civic i have run into [minus a coulple of nos whore's]. i'm on kyb's and eibach's now and i like it good enough. i'm going to end up with a Tein Flex/EDFC setup after the turbo etc. but i am also constantly contemplating buying a GSX and swapping the parts before i get too deep, but u got it right about the drop top...

What mods do you currently have? Also is there anything to do about that annoying leak the spyders have up my the pillar? Or is it just mine. What is the 1/4 time for a gst/gsx?

Click the link in my signature to see my ride, mod list is too long to type here. you got to live with the leak... small price to pay. i'm in so-cal and it just rained over x-mas and i swear i was just going to drop the top. i told everyone that got a ride 'i like to experience the weather, that's why i got a convertable!' as far as 1/4 times, you can get a GSX into the 11's fairly simply [not easily; i.e. driver skills and tuning ability, but the blueprint is there], and i think the same would go to get a GS-T into the 12's [the blueprint is there]. the difference is accounted by the AWD GSX being able to launch at much higher rpm's loaded with boost, and the FWD GS-T wanting to spin and hop. this can be battled by a [Quaife] Limited Slip Differential and a tight suspension, but will never be the same as a GSX.
