I know this is a dumb question, but I just wanna make sure. What all is done to a 2000 Camry during a basic tune up ???

A Basic tune up would consist of the following:
-Clean, inspect and test battery.
-Check all engine related fluids.
-Check and adjust all the drivebelts.
-Inspect the spark plug wires.
-Check the air filter.
-Check the cooling system.
-Check all underhood hoses.

Hopefully that should help, and if you want information on what needs to be done in a major tune-up, let me know.

Yeah, what's in a major tune up...is that when you replace the dist. cap and all that?

What you must do in a major tune-up is all the stuff that I listed before, plus the following :
-Replace the spark plugs and wires - coil pack and distributor if needed.
-Test the charging system
-Check the fuel system
-Replace the fuel filter
-Replace the air filter

That's pretty much it. Also, if you hadn't yet, you'll probably want to change your belts as well, the gen 4 belts seem to age rather quickly.

hi can you help me?
i just installed TRD lowering springs and KYB shocks. and i noticed that when i turn on my engine i didn't see the ABS light on. usually when i turn on i can see the ABS light on then off. i checked the ABS is connect. so is that mean my ABS broke?
thanks^^

That would probably be the first thing I would check out...especially since you said it don't come on at all...all of the lights are supposed to come on when you turn the ignition over, to test the whole system..so if the ABS was "broken" in any way, the light would still come on when the key was turned over, and would stay illuminated throughout driving to let you know that there is a problem.
