interested buyer

I looking into buying a 1994 3000gt SL i was wondering if 161,000 miles was to much to begin a project car on or if it would be a reliable buy and what would you recommend i did first after i purchased it???? PLEASE HELP the engine looks very clean.... also i was wondering if the enigine would be reliable and my friend told me to just get the timing checked and the idler pulleys and it will go forever except for normal mantience???

The engines are reliable if you treat them well. Have the engine checked out before you go and turbo it. Also, if its been 40k or so miles since the 60k service was done you might as well do it while your in there putting turbos on it.
