Ok. My Question Is... I Have A 2003 Eclipse, Just Wondering If Anyone Knows If The Kicker 18" Square Sub Will Fit In The Trunk In A Box Or Not. And Also What All Do I Need To Have Put In So My Car Won't Rattle. Stupid Questions I Know, But I Am Just Getting Into All This. Thanx

As I guess, I would say no, unless you were to lay it flat. For the rattle, get some dynamat. that will reduce your rattling alot.

You could angle it and fit it. But that is too much bass for an eclipse. First off, that sub is $1400. Second, you have to have a minimum of 4,500 watts to power it without having to worry about underpowering it and blowing it. That will cost you around $2000. Third, for that sub to perform well you have to have a BIG box like 5 or 6 feet. Don't get me wrong that sub will destroy any sub you match it up to in a small box, but in a big box, it is pure heaven. I don't think you know what you want. You can turn that sub up half way and damage your hearing. As for rattling, I have a kicker solobaric L7 12" in a ported box and it rattles pretty bad and i got dynomat. It outhits rockford 15''s. I believe that is what you really need. Not the SoloX. Seriously, a soloX in an eclipse would bend your trunk permantly, rattle everything in your car including you, and raattle everything in the car parked 50 feet from you. Only pros use the soloX. They are for competitions only. Seriously, for daily driving. don't get one. You'll be deaf in 2 days and your bumper will fall off. Plus you will have to have a new trunk lid, unless you like having a bowed out trunk :iceslolan
