Is 15 psi from a roots blower the same as 15 psi from a turbo? Horsepower wise, I mean. I know the difference between the way the two perform, but if you can get 15psi from a sc, then it seems that it would be faster since the power is there from the start.

horsepower wise, the 15psi form the turbo will be higher.

torque wise, the 15psi from the supercharger will be higher.

Thanks tibby01. Can you explain why that is? It just doesn't quite add up to me. Thanks again,

The supercharger robbs you of hp because you have to spin it via a belt on the crankshaft pulley. Kinda like when you trun on the A/C and it robbs alittle hp, the supercharger will be the same way but more hp. But the boost is putting back the power it has taken and then some where as the turbo is just adding hp after it is spooled.
