Painting issues

I did follow the How to prime and paint and how to compoud and polish instructions as closely as possiable. Actually the job came out very nice. Except there are a couple spots on the body now that the compounding rubbed the paint off. It's almost not noticable but I can see it.
I was wondering what I have to do to get the wax off and put another coat on it. Would hot soapy water do the trick?

Hot soapy water should work, just make sure to use an old toothbrush or something similar to get into all the crack and crevices and also rinse the body off thoroughly after.
You could also use rubbing alcohol but some paints are effected by it.

Thanks freakray! I'm going to try hot soapy water. I tested rubbing alcohol on another model and it did take the paint off. Exactly what I was trying to do at the time. :)
I appreciate the fast response. I'm outtie now! I have a model to build!
