Coffee time - Suzuki Cappuccino

I have some special feeling with those small cute K-cars and the Suzuki Cappuccino is one of my favourite. So this is the model i'm working on at the moment.. it's the Aoshima Mola Suzuki Cappuccino.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/63633cap.JPG
I did a search on the forum but it seems not too many ppl has built it?? Anyway the model comes with aftermarket front bumper and wheels. But i didn't know the front bumper is a "clip-on" type and not surprising the quality is not so good.. it doesn't fit very well and there is a large gap in between :sly: so some putty is needed to fix this problem. Also, just like the Aoshima Mugen Beat i did a while ago, the kit is quite simple.. maybe a bit TOO simple... for example the window wipers are molded as part of the body!!!
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/63633cappuccino1.jpg
Ok, here is what it looks like now:
I'm adding sideskirts + extend the rear bumper a little bit to match the front.. also adding a spoiler as well...

http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/63633cappuccino3.jpg
I will post more pics when i have more progress and as usual, comments always welcome

Jesus Christ, even now it looks good 'cause you get an idea of what it's gonna look like.
This will be a great model, nice wing!

Looks good so far.
There are so many cars that I didn't even knew existed, and then people build models of them. Keep us posted on how the build goes.

Thanks guy. heee yeah it doesn't look good at this stage but just use your imagination and you can see beyond the ugly putty and masking tape ;)
Hiroboy: Thanks for your pics. Yes your one is very nice. shinny and clean. Actually it's the best Cappuccino model i can find on the net so far. I'll be very happy if i can build such a nice model!

looks hot. have you decided on a wheel choice/color.

Ok, my colour choice is..........
PINK!!! :grinno::grinno:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/63633cappuccino7.jpg
I choose pink because i think it suits the "cute, sporty and young" image of the Cappuccino. I guess some of you may not like it but well it's my model so :thefinger
The wheel is the TE37 that comes with the kit, but i painted it with Tamiya Bronze with black undercoat. I was thinking if i should choose white but then i think it bronze may be better because of the CF treatment i'm going to give to the body shell
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/63633cappuccino8.jpg
THe pic doesn't really show the colour of the wheel properly.. i may try take some better image when i have more progress
:feedback: even you don't like PINK

Ok i got the body almost finished .. all panel lines, key holes...etc painted and cf bonnet with a few layer of smoke colour on top of it... just waiting for a few clear coats and then i'll polish it.. so things all looking pretty good..
until i notice there is something funny with the cf bonnet so i decided to remove the "smoke" coating on it and tidy it up... so i remove the headlight covers as well and after i clean up the stuff on the bonnet.. and DAMN i can't find the left headlight cover anymore!!!!!! :eek7::banghead::banghead::banghead:
i swear i just put it on my table but i checked it many many times and still can't find it :(
So the project is now stopped until the headlight cover comes back to see me...
bugger.. next time remember to put all the little parts inside a box or some container or IT'LL DISAPPEAR!!!!
unhappy Richard
