Actron cp9135 scanner - opinions ??

I'm considering buying a code scanner. The Actron CP9135 seems to be readily available at a reasonable price. Have any of you used this scanner and what do you think of it? Any other suggestions either good experiences or bad? Thanks in advance!! John

Been looking at an AutoXray myself. Wonder how they compare. Be interesting to see any comments. How 'bout it folks?

i work part time at auto zone we use the actron no problems had wifes volvo v70 i a private shop for radiator it picked up 4 codes the mechanics snap on probe did notclear or see the 4 set codes the actron did!!

I have an actron CP9135. I haven't use any other scanners but this one, but it has paid for itself many times over. I have a 98 Camaro and a 99 S10 ZR2 4x4. I have used my actron on many of my friends vehicles as well as my own. It works great and I haven't had any problem with it. And the tech support people are great too. If you have a question about it, they will help you understand it.Free of charge I might add.

P.S. I like the price too, over the price of the other scanners.

i also use an actron scanner. works great. i've used it numerous times on my 95, mothers 99 jeep, and brothers 97 mustang.

I have the Actron 9125 - it is basically just a code reader and will
clear the codes - Very simple to use and has saved me lots of
money. I got tired of running to Autozone and half of the guys
there would tell me they could not read it if the light went out!!! Or
they were to busy to read it at that time. - So bought my own!!

no 2 way communication or function tests??

my grandfather has an actron scanner (don't know the model # but its the top of the line one; like $400). it works great and it can read about anything with a dignostic port down to I believe 1982.

The cp 9135 is a good reader/ eraser for obdII. Great for states that wont pass your car with a check engine light. The auto x ray is supposed to be ok, never used it. I have a cp 9145, which also reads live data and the vehicle monitors, comes in handy if you know what your looking at

depends on exactly why you need a code reader, if just to check codes, you can do that with a paper clip, cheap scanners are basically glorified paper clips, and they only work on a few vehicles.

if you plan on using it lots and can afford it, its worth it in my opinion, I would prefer a good one, but thats alot of dough to blow on something you wont use that often.

if u erase codes, now u must drive for about 15 miles to reset the ecm or the emission station can see that u erased the codes.
