I have a 96 Mustang GT, its drive perfectly fine, but I hear this small little noise that sounds like its coming from the back of my car like maybe from the exhaust. It almost sounds like a chirping noise. I was sitting in my car trying to figure out what was causing the noise I noticed that when my car was idling when I let up on the clutch the noise would start again but then when I pressed the clutch down the noise would stop and it would do this everytime. Anybody got any idea what could be causing the noise and how to fix it?

Wow, check engine lights and rattles. Sounds like you got all the problems. LOL

If you get "chirping/and or clicking-clacking noises and you can stop it by pushing in on the clutch a bit ............:smokin:
It is most likely your Clutch throwout bearing:banghead:.....If you "upgraded" your clutch, you must install a "firewall clutch kit" to tighten the cable just right so it is unable to make the noise...
I have/had the same noise and am having a Firewall kit installed to reduce the noise........:eek7:
Also, If this IS the problem, (I drove my 98gt a year with this problem), it won't hurt your car at all.....it is just annoying! lol
