i am wanting to start a project car with a 3000gt i am looking at an 1994 3000gt SL i am attending uti next year so i will be twin turboing it but the car it self has 161,000 miles so please tell me any problems that i might incounter and would i need to rebuild???? email me a [email protected] my winter beater lol

but do u think it has to many miles??? i had a friend with a stealth and he told me to get the timing done and check the idler pulleys.... i just wonder if they are reliable motors

The motor is pretty much like any other car. If it was ragged and not maintained on its going to bread down faster. Given the number of miles, I'd expect that, under normal wear, you have about ~50K before its going to need to be replaced.
Getting the timing done is never a bad thing and should be done every 60K. If it was done at 120 then you don't have to do it. If the owner can't produce documents showing that it was done, then act as though it hasn't been.
