electrical issues with trunk.....

I own a 2001 1.8T. While driving home from work tonight my red light came on indicating that a door was open. Turns out it was the trunk. Close it and ten seconds later it makes all these clicking noises and it opens again. The light never goes away. Trunk won't close!!! Closes fine when engine is off. Then when I unlock the car, I hear all the noise and the trunk opens AGAIN!!! DO I HAVE TO GO TO VW SERVICE???? Please, no!!!!!!
I've had the car for 7 months and I've already had the wiper problem and the windows falling in problem. Never again will I buy a VW. Service sucks!!!

Does anyone know a reason why this might be happening??? Thanks so much!!!
