01 Taurus, brakes squealing

Installed new rotors and pads and since have a squealing noise
whenever the brakes are applied. Had the abs tested and is okay. I
would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Was the "membrane" properly applied to the back of the front disk pads? Is the major cause of noisy brakes.
