Automatic transmision jumps to neutral

A local shop just rebuilt the transmision on my 93 4 runner with 140K miles.
sometimes it runs smooth, others you can fill like if it rubbing on somtihing while shifting. the big concern is that a couple of times before jumping to overdrive (like at 50 mph), it goes into neutral. It can move on first gear then goes to neutral as it tries to shift. After I stop, It can go again like nothing happened. I took it back to the shop, they opened the transmision again, but can not find a fault on it, they think it may be some electrical bug. It has an extra oil cooler on it.
