I'm in heaven. I've finally found a Honda website I enjoy!

This site is exactly what I'm looking for. Lots of mature help and the rice kept to a minimum.

I'm a computer guy but I've been playing with cars since I was old enough to drive(9 years ago).
I'm actually pretty mechanically inclined so I'll be of some help for answering questions. I just need to get my basic auto knowledge worked into Honda specifics, which I'm already underway with.

I sold my wife’s 95 LX (bad title, too many misc issues that I didn't want to tackle to get it perfect) and purchased friends 90 EX accord with 85K miles and stuffed a few bucks into my pocket.

The accord has a new tranny as of 2 years ago(torque converter was going bad, replaced the entire tranny), new axles, 100K done last year(timing belt, waterpump), new struts and a bunch of other things.

My friend was given this accord at 50K after his grandpa died and has been taken care of since(his family is a car family, you should should see what's in their 6 car garage). O and it's been in a garage almost it's whole life.

I'll save my technical questions for later.
It was good to meet all of you and I'm sure I'll give back what I take from this site.

For those that can appreciate an older car in excellent condition, I'll take a pic so you can see the condition of the paint and the interior.

Welcome to AF! I'm like a kid in candy store here, there's just so much CAR stuff. I think I like a little too much, work on them all day & help out on AF as much as possible.

You sir are the reason sites like this work so well.

People devoting time and passing aquired knowledge to others.
:worshippy

Now that I have things smooth over with my "other" ride, I can focus more on the Honda.
