Changing the brake pads on my I30 2000 and the cylinder will not compress back. I tried to bleed the fluid but that didn't help either.
I used a C-clamp to try to compress the cylinder but it won't budge.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey,
I had the same problem a few months ago.
The solution is quite simple. You have two choices. Either you can buy an attachment for your racket which will allow you to SCREW IN (Clockwise) this part, or you can simply secure the caliper while you use a channel-lock, or similar tong and groove type wrench to turn this part into the caliper. I hope I have been helpful to you.

I had the same problem until I realized the cylinder screws in. I bought my pads at Autozone and they have the kit you can use to screw in the cylinder. It is actually free, just use a credit card for deposit and there is no charge as long as you return it.
