shifter prob/and boost leak i think

so hears the deal after doing a # of launches in my car a 98 gs-t spyder...i have had problems geting the car into 2nd gear it feels like the shifter is geting caught on somthing? this does not happen at low speeds...and the nex prob is what i think is a boost leak i keep geting spikes up 2 15 psi and it feels no more than stock..pleas help :banghead:

for the boost leak go to www.VFAQ.com and make yourself a boost leak tester, hook it up to an air compressor, use about 20-25psi and take soapy water and spread it all over your intercooler connections and trottle body connection, if you see it bubble you know you have a problem and you now know where it is at! good luck!

Which is it, a creep or a spike? 2 totally different problems. If it jumps to 15 then settles down to set boost, its a spike. If it goes to set boost, then after some rpm it begins to rise to 15, that is creep.

MAke sure there is nothing in the way of the shifter linkages on the tranny. Have a friend shift in and out of 2nd and watch for obstructions. One of my intercooler pipe clamps likes to keep me out of4th and reverse ;)

Thanks....i fixed the boost leak it waz the intercooler piping...and as 4 the shifter i havent ben able 2 get a look at it yet....cauz im lazy :smokin:
