Hey-! Someone did a great job of identifying S13 chassis codes for me a few days ago (sorry I forgot your name-!)... but I'm a little confused on the PS13 chassis. I was flipping through BattleMagazine (geez I wish I could read Japanese) and I saw a pic of a PS13... looks like your basic "S13 Silvia". But... a few pages down I see two more "PS13's" that have the retractble lights and look exactly like our 240SX coupes. Are these Silvias also-? I have no idea what year any of the cars are (sorry). Are these some kinda conversion like a one-via (180sx Front and Silvia Rear) or are these actual production cars similar to our 240 coupe????????

180sx faces are more easy to find used parts overthere.
Because many people went to sil80SX.
Then some people want to do something different.
I think that's the reason.

That would be a one-via. The S13 coupes over there never came with the flip up headlights. They were added later on.

that would be the 180sx. called that in japan, called 240sx fastback in the USA, called 200sx s13 in europe and australia. to even confuse things more: a silvia s14 is called 200sx s14 in europe and australia. thats the car known as 240sx s14 in the USA, only it has the sr20det stock. the USA has a 200sx that has nothing to do with the entire Silvia/240sx line. brilliant Nissan naming eh ?

SXdragon,
Sorry if I offended you... That was not my intention-! I call everyone a dork-!
nice pic!
Yes-Yes... very confusing... I have that car featured in my Drift Tengoku magazine along with a 'Z80'.... it's a 280zx/fairlady front-end with a 180sx rear end

I wonder if anyone in Japan imports the KA24DE into their Silvia's and 180SX's... that would be dope. Anyone hear of this? Actually I heard that Super Yashio Co. has a USDM RPS13 that had a KA in it and they were gonna SUPE it up but they never did. Needless to say they put an SR20 in it... wasn't that pointless?

the RS13, RPS13, RHS13, HS13, RMS13, MS13 KMS13 were the only s-chassis cars to have the 180sx type flip up lights. The KPS13, and PS13 were the silvias that came with the bar type headlights. Not including the sil80 converstion, and factory sil80. That orange RPS13 is still an RPS13...even though it has front and rear lighting converstion off the Kouki s14..it still does not take away from the chassis of the car unless you completly modified or changed it.

wrong. the s12 was called 200sx in US
and the s12 obviously is a silvia, it was called silvia in europe too (it's the only "silvia" in europe)

ah right, the s12. oh and we do have the s14 silvia here as well. not the s13 tho, instead the 180sx was called 200sx here.

uh the s14 is really called silvia in netherlands?
... yes the s14 here in europe almost equals the silvia (20hp less) but is called 200SX (like the s13) in austria, germany, even great britain (I beleive in europe all together)

nah, its called 200sx here as well, but the differences are so small, you could just as well call it a silvia. thats what i did, to confuse people who dont know the car even more. s14 is very rare in the netherlands, guess what a silvia badge does :)
