CD Player Problems!!!

I have a 96 explorer with a 6disc changer that doesn't seem to work properly. The disks will load but won't spin. I purchased another 6disc changer from ebay. It would only play certain cd's but it would load all disk positions. Then a few weeks later I tried my original player again ,for kicks, and it worked for a day. Could it be the wiring on the car itself? Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
