1995 Ignition (start) circuit fuse location (fusible links)? Won't turn over.

Hi,
Does anyone know the location of any fusible links/fuses in the ignition start circuit for a 95 2.2 Auto Cavalier ? The under hood fuse block has no blown fuses.

I determined the starter solenoid was bad, replaced that, and it still won't crank. Jumping the Bat to the small middle post will crank the engine- and it starts drives, etc... (I think that means the starter/solenoid is ok)

i had the exact same problem in my 96..on mine it was the ignition switch..
i could turn the key to the run position but if i turned it to start it would not start..
the dealer wanted to replace the steering coloumn cause the whole key assembly is permenantly mounted to the steering coloumn..it cost too much to replace..
i took some wire and a 30AMP push button switch...
ran wire from battery to button then to the starter post..
now i turn the key to the on position and push the button i mounted on my dash and it starts...and continues to run till i turn it off with the key...
ya i know im cheap...
but i got the car for $50.00 from a kid who got into trouble with the law...
its some what trashed...i'll keep it running till the engine dies

i dont know if your cavie is the cavie i have in scotland but if it is then you need an igntion switch . so if GM are as tight as they are here then the holden com /hsv ///uk omiga. vectra should fit and cure your problem

Thanks, I was suspecting the ignition switch. I found the fusible link and it was ok.

I put it all together again, and now the crazy thing cranks ALL the time, even with the key out of the ignition! Perhaps my testing of the ignition make the switch stuck in the "start" position. (I had a helper putting the switch in various positions while I checked things with a meter)

I have a 98 Chevy Cav and I recently recieved a recall letter for the ignition circuit thermal events but I haven't gotten the repair done yet. Well since yesterday morning my car will not start. I lost all power in my car yesterday morning, I recieved a jump and it started. I know it's not battery related because I have a new battery. So I went home and left the car running for less than 30 mins while I got prepared to go to a meeting (afraid that it wouldn't start if I shut it off) After my meeting the car lost all power again after I shut it off. Could this ignition problem be the cause of losing all power in my car??
