How do you know they were pulled over for speeding and not something else?

there is nothing going wrong with the flow of the freeway even if its like 5-10 mph above posted speedlimit...as long as everybody is going that speed (i think...thats how i noticed it) he couldve been pulled over for something else...lights for example.

uuuummmmm......ever driven on I-95? The speed limit is 75, but even the semis go at least 95 on that highway.

thats like 20 mph over the posted limit. i usually try to stay within 10 mph when going with the flow...15 mph max. if they go too fast for me...i just stay on the slower lanes doin more or less 10 mph above speed limit.

What I meant was, even the slowest moving cars, which are usually the semis, and are in the slow lane, are goin at least 95. Thats just on the stretch from where I get on in NC most of the way down towards Myrtle Beach, SC. I dont know what its like on other parts, but that type of speed has been my experience on that highway.

wow, what state is that in? No need to be dogging on the metro... they can get up to 100. Of corse it takes a longer that our patients can take, but it gets there...

What the fuck is a metro?

It's a small, 3 cylinder car made by "Geo" (2 door hatch, 4 door hatch, convertible, and a 4 door sedan). Brand new they were about 6,000 and get really good gas mileage, but the major drawback is over 55mph you really are pushing it. They get around 44-50mpg though, which isn't bad, they are sort of a peugot type car. Not something we're used to seeing in the U.S., since we mostly have SUV's and other tanks driving around. See one here http://www.vadir.com/firstteam/metro.gif

From about 1989 to 1994 General Motors sold re-badged imported vehicles built by Japanese manufacturers at Chevrolet dealerships under the Geo label.

From 1995-2000 they were sold under the Chevrolet name. Now they have been replaced by a vehicle called the Aveo.

The 3 bangers back ran about 55 horse. In 1995 they began putting 4 cyl. in the Metros, but a 3 was still available in the 2 dr models.

Only said peugot because of the small car style. But yea I agree peugots are a hell of alot better than a metro.

ah ok...

well not all peugots are small like the 406 and big luxury sedans.

206 are small but if i was living in europe(which im currently not) i wouldn't mind having some....although there was an accident at their factory which may have caused malfunctioning(spelled correctly?) of their electronics

anyways...

gotta get back to studying for finals

Well, regardless, just because the car is slow (i.e. 55 horse) does not mean that it can't go over the speed limit. It may take the a while to get there but it could go over the speed limit.

That is a little harsh, I don't know that I would go that far. I think that Metro was a far better car than the Yugo.

Auto critics tended to laugh at the Yugo, and branded it more of a toy than a car. They also pointed out a series of flaws, and as it happens many of the flaws were valid. Many owners complained of mechanical problems including premature engine failure, bad brakes, poor shifter and transmission, and faulty electrical systems, and terrible dealer service. The insurance industry faulted the cars crash worthiness, which didn't help matters.

Depends on how you look at it, it's a Suzuki Swift, in the US.

BUT there was also the Austin/MG Metro- which they didn't sell in Australia (But sold in NZ, it was my Sisters first car)
