Traction on a 96 GS-T

I have a 96 Eclipse GST with a Super 16G turbo,bored manifold, 3"downpipe,Cat, Thermal exhaust, racing cams, injectors, 255 lph fuel pump, S-AFC, 18" rims w/45, and dyno tuned at 368hp at the wheel. I have all this power and have no traction from dead start. It kinda sucks when i'm racing and smokes up to 3rd gear. Any one have any suggestion to get the traction i need?

you could also try "blocking" your rear springs up.

You can do this by, jacking the rear of your car up, and putting a spring seperator(not correct name) between the coils on the spring.
When you lower the car the back end will not lower as much as before. Thus making the rear VERY stiff.

This will counter the tendancy for your car to throw its weight to the rear, which will increase the front traction.

I do not recomend this if you are street driving the car, as it it a very punishing ride and can damage the car if you encounter any big holes.

Also FourG63_97GST is totaly correct, do all those things and you will think you drive a GSX.

i have the same problem, but my car does it in 1st and 2nd and it has under 300 hp. The best thing i found to do is find the stickest tires and pussy foot it a little in the gears that you slip in. I mean dont just floor it push it like 3/4's of the way down and if you still slip let off a little till you get traction. If your car has that much hp and you can kept up with the car off the line then you should blow past him in the upper gears.

ya... what he said and learn to drive... do a search on launching... there are a couple of good threads on it... and lower your tire pressure and learn to launch...
