NEW PROJECT PICS: widebody 180sx w/ engine

this is my current project, a drift-style 180sx with engine detail. the engine is a hybrid of various parts i found lying around. the bodykit was made using fenders from another model and a front spoiler from a series one s14. i will be putting a GT style wing on the back. im thinking of painting it black with gold metallic over the top for a pearly kind of look. anyone have any suggestions?

Looks cool so far, needs some sanding but otherwise, nice!. :)

yea. its a lil rough, but I'd be proud. that motor....doesn't look anything like an SR20,.

yah it does, just needs valve cover details. Polish out the intake manifold and say its a Greddy unit.

yeah, sorry i havent given you an updat, but ive been on holidays for a few days. now i can get back into my model. ive now replaced the inlet plenum to look like a greddy unit. ive painted the rear interior and installed the half cage. ill post pics soon.

ive got my new pics uploaded. sorry about the bad quality. does anyone have any tips for the engine because i feel it could do with more detail, but i dont know what to do.

You are doing a great job just tune up that sanding and detail the SR20 as much as you can. But it looks hell a Tight!!!!

ive finally almost finished my 180. ill be posting pics soon. i just have to finish the wheels and let the front strut bar dry before i can take some photos.

when you are just posting a link like that .. put a question mark at the end of it .. so that people can click on it and get them to open that way ... it 'fools' the host into thinking they are being requested from a webpage instead of from a link

the body still looks rough, too rough for paint. but it's your car not mine.

yeah, at the back it was, so i sanded it more, but the front isnt as rough as it looks in the picture

the front is fine, just the back looked real real rough...if you fixed, that's cool.

im now working on my next project, my ae86 trueno. ive already put flared guards on and made a front spoiler, i just have to paint it. ill paint it the same yellow as the 180sx, what colour should i paint the wheels (te-37s)?

They would look bad ass if the Truenos wheels were Black that would make it look great. but thats only what i would do its your model not mine.

yeah, im going for a dark colour, maybe grey. do you reckon i should paint the bumpers black?
