help on 5th gens

ok quick question for all you civic people out there... 1 what is soooo special about the 92 special edition sedan... it has the same features as a DX for cryin out loud... i dont know whats up... i am asking cause i am looking into buying one, but at the same time i am feeling cheated cause i could be getting some other cars at the same cost.

also... what model 5th gen civics come with a tach built in... do the LX or EX?

uhhh i didnt know they made a special edition sedan for the civic. and to get a tach i believe you have to find a car with a standard transmision. ex and lx (std.) should have them mabey dx (std.) i dont know about the vx or cx

yeah they made it... but no one has any info on it for some reason... there are a few in my area.. and i know the DX dosnt have it... and dont worry i mean common... why would i get anything other then a stick... seesh:rolleyes:

I've never heard of the Special 5th Gen Sedan..

I have a 93 sedan and it's a DX no tach..I got an Autometer tach for it and shift light.

You would need to go w/ the EX/LX to get the tach indash..

The "special edition" 5th gens that I've heard of were promotional giveaways. They were Dx's or something else low on trim line and they added some features from the higher trim lines for free. Like a trunk light, clock, tach, ect. Nothing big. It's no better than any other civic and you shouldn't pay more for it.

And the trim lines that had tachs were Lx, Ex, and Si.

I know for a fact that the 5gen civic VX has a tack cause that's what I got mine out of for my DX.

... and if it's a sedan, I'd say don't get it... why get a dx sedan? :confused:
