Center floor console for 2002 T/C LXi

I just bought this minivan and it doesn't have the floor center console. Under the rubber cushion between the seats, I found some electrical contacts from the floor that supposedly fits into the factory console (my speculation). I have no idea what that contact does or provides. The dealer sells the center console for $450. I think it is too pricey.

1. Does anyone know what that electrical contact does?
2. Do you know any website that sells similar item for less money, a web link would be helpful.
3. The T/C has a CD player and cassette, I don't think it has the Infinity set up but the dealer says it does. How can I tell ? (my Intrepid has speakers that says "Infinity" and that's how I know, but the T/C doesn't have any of such indication).
4. I want to add a car-theater system with a DVD player and a couple of good size LCD screen (7" - 9" wide scr diag.); one for front passenger and one "movable" for either center or rear seat passenger. What brand and type do you recommend (for versatility and picture quality)?

1. The electrical contact powers the convenience outlet and light inside the center console

2. Not sure of any aftermarket options - if you come across one please post

3. I have the Infinity (standard on the 03 LXi and Ltd) and it does not say "Infinity" anywhere...one test is if you have 10 speakers (I think the options are only 4,6 or 10...10 being Infinity)

4. I'm considering an entertainment system, too, but don't have any recommendations. Again, when you do something, please post what you end up with.
