Uncomfortable seat

My 1990 98 has 60-40 leather front bench seat. The 60 portion (drivers side) is a power seat. The seat back won't come back up to a comfortable driving position.

I have 3 questions:

Has anyone else had this experience and know of a solution? Possible disconnected wire, hidden lever or gear stuck?

Will body shop be able to fix this easily?

Will manual seat from junk yard fit the rails or bolts in the floor configuration?

Would appreciate any help.

When you say an "uncomfortable position" like how do you mean? Like it's leaned back towards the back seat or it's slid back on the rails towards the rear of the car and wont move forward?

I mean leaning way back like I am trying to recline. It is about 60 degrees from vertical. The rest of the electrical controls work. I can move back and forth and even slightly up and down.

Probably got this answered by now, but...

I just bought my 91 olds 98 Regency Elite last week and was wondering the same thing. The electric controls move the seat up, down, forward, backward, tilt, etc. but not the back of the seat!

Reach down between the seat and the door about halfway from front to back. There is a lever you pull up on and it will allow you to move the seatback to a more normal position. Hope that is what you are talking about, cause it sure sounds like what I was having issues with.
