hey to u all..i have a 89 grand prix..and it has this feature (like all 90's models i guess) that keeps the low beam always on..even in the day light and at night...more at night or when the exterior light is not bright enough, it triggers automatically the tail lights and everything for night..it's a nice feature., but is there any way that i can shut off my lights..completely?..or at least the low beam..because it consumes power from the battery for nothing...i'm open to any suggestions

Well I have a 98 and on my car all I had to do was to remove the DRL fuse. Ripn12s has a site where they explain how to get rid of this feature on late models not sure if your model will be covered there tought. :(

Appling the parking brake should turn the lights off also.

Just incase you still want the feature, but what to turn it off when parked or warming up the car.
