Keyless entry stopped working..

Hi there. I have a 98 Civic EX. Yesterday, the interior dome light started blinking. I turned it off and now my keyless entry doesn't work at all. Was the blinking of my light an "alert" that there was something wrong with my keyless entry?

I just put a new car battery in it about a month or so ago. I just replaced the battery in the keyless entry transmitter this morning.

I do have the original Honda Radio in the dash, but I also have a CD player installed (Pioneer) in the spot right above the cup holders.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?
