Rearveiw mirror help

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the panel over the rearveiw mirror on my 2000 lude. I need to replace the mirror and don't want to break anything.

are you talking about the mirror attached to your windshield? and what are you referring to when you say the 'panel'?
